Welcome to another season - 2013-14. Best wishes for an enjoyable one for all players, officials, teams and clubs.
Welcome to the Ipswich & Suffolk Youth Football League website. Fixtures, Results and League Tables can be viewed by selecting the age group from the navigation bar above.

Thanks go to Richard Scott for his work in setting up the site and giving control of it back to the Football people.

Picture shows Referee Joel Dench, receiving the trophy as the League's top referee from season 2012-3 from secretary, Allan Girot.

REFEREE APPOINTMENTS - Clubs should be aware that referee appointments have been made by Terry Scott - assisted by Terry Fryatt - through the FULL-TIME system, and all home teams should be looking to provide match notifications to their appointed referees.

INFORMATION
PLAYER PATHWAY FOR OVER 16'S
The League is committed to encouraging players to remain in the game beyond the age of 16. Hence the introduction of an adult (U19) division as well as an U17 division. Formats of the season for these groups have been mixed up a bit - to help retain interest in the game for players at an age when many are attracted away from the game.  Part of the mix this season will be the mid-season seven-a-s-side tournaments at Kesgrave High School, stating in early December.

Team withdrawal. Please note the withdrawal of Stowmarket Town U14 Wasps team.
THIS SEASON - UNDER-11 and UNDER-12 DIVISIONS
The League has introduced the 9v9 format of the game for under-12 fixtures this season.

RECOMMENDED VIEWING - CHANGES ON THE WAY
As you may be aware, the FA has introduced a number of initiatives to help with the future development of the game. These can be seen on the FA website - www.thefa.com. If you choose the 'Leagues' tab, then the 'Your Kids, Your Say' tab, you will find information and a slide presentation; FA Youth Development Proposals - Final recommendations'. This can be downloaded.
LEAGUE CHARTER STANDARD
Please be aware that the League has now gained FA League Charter Standard status.
MINI-SOCCER LAWS
Please ensure that all mini-soccer teams are applying the proper Laws - in particular LAW 16, which requires the attacking teams to retreat to the half-way line at the taking of goal-kicks.
