Club
Welfare Officers
Clubs
should be aware that from next season all clubs should have a Club
Welfare Officer. To find out more, view the FA website
(link below), and follow the links to Grassroots/FA Learning/Child
Protection - you will find a download available 'appointing child
protection officers'.
The
League is also required to have a Welfare Officer - a role currently
being take by Allan Girot. However, for the future, this task might
be better served by someone with professional
knowledge/skills/training in this field. Anyone who feels they could
bring something to this role (perhaps a police officer, social
worker or teacher?), please contact Allan to discuss a way forward. For
information on CRB checks and Child Protection workshops, contact the
Suffolk FA Development Administrator; sharon.odonnell@suffolkfa.com
Contact
Allan - email allan@girot.freeserve.co.uk,
for info on the Suffolk
Girls League.
